Minimum Requirement for Installing Windows Vista:

Ø  800-megahertz (MHz) 32-bit (x86) processor or 800-MHz 64-bit (x64) processor.

Ø  512 megabytes (MB) of system memory.

Ø  DirectX 9-class graphics card.

Ø  32 MB of graphics memory.

Ø  20-gigabyte (GB) hard disk that has 15 GB of free hard disk space.

Ø  Internal or external DVD drive.

Ø  Internet access capability.

Ø  Audio output capability.

Steps For Installing Windows Vista:-

  1.  First thing you have to check whether your Computer is full filing all the
 requirement for the Installation of Windows Vista Operating System.

  2.   Backup all your important data in any External hard drive or DVD disk.

  3.  Restart your Computer and Insert Windows Vista DVD.

  4.  As soon as you see HP Logo in the Screen Press F9 key thrice, So that the
 Computer will go in One Time Boot Menu Option.
 

    NOTE: Different PC have different key combination to go in Boot Menu Option.

Example - HP Computer had F9 or F11 key for Boot Menu Option.
Wherelse Dell, Acer, Asus, Samsung, and Lenovo had F11 or F2 for Boot Menu Option.

  5.  Once the Boot Menu Option Popup, Navigate and Select CD/DVD ROM and 
 Press Enter.

  6.   Press any to Key to Continue the Setup Installation.

  7.   Windows Loading Screen will appear.

  8. Select the Language to Install the Setup, Select the Keyboard Input Method 
 and press next.

  9.  License Agreement Page will open, tick the small box I accept the license
 Term and Press Next.

  10.  Activate Product key Window will shows up. This is the 25-character key that
  came with your copy of Windows.
  Check the “Automatically activate Windows when I’m online” box to have  
  Windows automatically verify your key the next time it is connected to the
  internet.

  11.  Click on Custom (advanced) option for fresh installation of Windows Vista  
   Operating System.

  12. Select the Unallocated space and Click on Next. Setup will automatically 
   create and install the Setup in that partition.

  13.  In case you manually want to create Drive partition then, Select the
  Unallocated Space and Click on Drive Option (advanced), Click on New and
  Enter the Number in the blank box in MB (Eg: 50000 MB) and Press Enter.

  14. Installing Windows Screen will be shown.

  15. Press Shift + F10 key to open Command Prompt, then type taskmgr to open
  taskbar.

  16.  Right Click on Install Windows and select Go to Process.

  17.  Right Click on Set Priority and Set it to High.

  18.  Close the Task Manager and Command Prompt.

  19.  Wait for all the Process to Complete. Computer will restart several times
   during Installation.

  20. Type the User name and Password for your Windows Account.

  21. Type the name for your Computer & Choose the Desktop Background and  
   Click Next.
 

  22.  Click on Use Recommended Setting to automatically Download and Install
   any Updates from Microsoft Website.

  23.  Select the Time Zone according to your Location and Set the Date &  Time 
   and Click Next.

  24.  Select the Home Network to Connect to Internet.

  25.   Wait for the Setup to Finish.

  26.  Type your Computer User ID & Password and Press Enter.

  27. Setup has finish installing Windows Vista.
